Which brand or company is recommended and which type of cable?
I have a CAT6 cable but it dosn't seem to fit. I have seen CAT5 cables but I don't know if this will work. I have also seen 10/100/1000 computer network compatible cables. Which ones should I get?

Cat 5e is good enuf, 6 is best though. My 80gb came with a cat6 but I am yet to use it, go on ebay and buy a cat 6 they are really cheap for some good quality cables.

Buy a "straight" etherent cable. It will work just fine. You will be very unlikely to experience anything that resembles improved performance with a real expensive cable vs. a cable purchased at Staples, Office Depot, etc.
