My PS2 looks horrible on my HDTV?

I have a 40' inch Sony HDTV and my PS2 looks horrible in it, is there any way I can make the picture quality better

Try to use component cables with your PS2 to hook up to your HDTV. The graphics and picture looks better when you use the component cables instead of the composite cables.

no way dude... the PS2 display at max 480p and ur HDTV ( if it is really HD) is 1080p. that is how a PS2 game will look in HD. that us why the current gen consoles (PS3 and XBOX 360) have packed in huge horse power into their systems, to render grafix of that scale.
