send his son to be crucified. I guess, I believe in God but not the whole Jesus part. What religion does that make me?

I guess the reason I am asking is two-fold. I always thought of GOD as One-The Father, the son, and the Holy Ghost-so it translates just to GOD for me. However, this Baptist women I met said praying to God is NO GOOD, unless you pray in JESUS name, your prayers won't be answered. I said "nonsense" I Pray to GOD and Have prayed my whole life to GOD and God Alone" So, what religion does that make me?

By the way, I do not buy into what this lady said about praying to God not working. That is pure poo poo, I am just learning after really thinking this through how silly and bizarre the whole "gave his only begotten son" thing is ...

Spiritualists also do not accept this concept. We don't believe in the trinity nor in an all loving God that would send any of his creation to hell for eternity.

Sounds a lot like Judaism, but if I were you I wouldn't take that for the only answer. You've simply stated that you believe in God, which doesn't necessarily make you Jewish. Lots of people believe in some form of God, and not all of them are a part of the Judeo-Christian-Muslim world. There are lots and lots of spiritual paths. Look beyond the big, well-known religions unless you are instinctively drawn to one. Study paganism, the hermetic arts, eastern religions, and native American beliefs. See what works for you. You'll know when you find the path you were intended to be on. It's an unmistakeable feeling of being at home - no matter where you are physically.

Just because you don't understand, does not mean it's not true. God is much more clever than we can even image. So let me explain why he gave his only son as a sacrafice. When Adam and Eve sinned in the garden, a curse came about on mankind. Satan decieved them and their disobedience caused death, plagues, disease etc. in the Earth. God created man for his purpose and to live forever, and now that there was a curse, God's original plan could not proceed. In the new testament, God cleverly sends his son Jesus who was in Heaven to come and die in our place (God loved Jesus) That's why it was a sacrafice. In order to do that, Jesus had to be born of a woman and walk as a man on Earth as we do. So after Jesus was crucified, he rose after 3 days and acended back to Heaven. God did not lose his son, He is in Heaven now with God, but Jesus suffered for us, because God's love for us (his creation) was so great. Christ died for us to give all who believe the opportunity to live forever during his second comming. However if you do not believe in Jesus and accept him as your Lord and Savior, then this is not possible for you. In John 14:6 , Jesus says that he is the Truth, The Way, and The Life. No man will come to the father accept through Him. He also says in Matthew 10: 32-33, that any man who acknowledges him before men, he will acknowledge before His Father in Heaven, but whosoever denies Him before men, He will also deny before his Father in Heaven. So if I were you, I would change the way I think fast. No matter what you were raised as, learning the truth should matter most. If you want to accept him, just pray and ask God to forgive your sins, Then profess that you believe in Jesus and accept him as the Lord of your life.

You are probably what a Jew would consider to be Noachic. That's a person who obeys the seven basic laws inferred from the story of Noah, but who is not a Jew. To be a Jew, you'd either need to be born to a Jewish woman, or convert to Judaism.

Noachide commandments:

1) to establish courts of justice; 2) not to commit blasphemy; 3) not to commit idolatry; 4) not to commit incest and adultery; 5) not to commit bloodshed; 6) not to commit robbery; and 7) not to eat flesh cut from a living animal. These commandments are fairly simple and straightforward, and most of them are recognized by most of the world as sound moral principles.

If you feel the need for a specific religion, the web site for the B'nai Noach (Children of Noah) is below.

It makes you a non-believer and you are condemned. For the Bible clearly speaks and says that I am the way the truth and the life. Anybody seeking the Father (who is God) must go through Jesus the son. The bible also says What sayeth thee? The word is Nye thee even in they mouth and in thine heart if thou shall confess that Jesus has been raised from the dead thou shall be saved.
And I know I may have left some words out here and there but that's the jist of it.
Now with that being said the Bible also says that all shall confess him (Jesus Christ) on the earth above it and beneath it. So you are going to confess...period...end of story. The big question is are you going to do it now in order to be saved or are you going to not do it and go to hell and then confess him?
It may seem harsh, but in the end Jesus got the better deal, and so did you. Think about it. He took your sins to the cross because of his death burial and resurrection. That should make you want to praise and thank him. Because without Jesus being the sacrifice some of the things you may have done that were sinful you would have died for doing. Unruly kids were killed back then. Adulterers were stoned to death. Women who were pregnant and have no husband were stoned to death too....that seems much more harsh to me than Jesus being a sacrifice for me...

Additional.....
Ok first of all confusion is of the enemy. I think you are trying to think your way through this. Don't do that. He never asked you to think this thing out. Just believe. Next, what the Baptist lady is referring to is when you pray you are supposed to address the Lord (God) however you must always back it up by saying in Jesus name amen, to make this simple. You just can't pray to God. Jesus said behold I am the door...did he not? Ok so he is telling you right there that in order to get to the Father you must go through Jesus. God gave Jesus all power....you name it he has it. Jesus is like the messenger ok? When you pray to God back it up with the words "in Jesus name...Amen." What then happens is that jesus takes your words and petitions the almighty Father in regards to what you have asked. There is a verse in the Bible that says the Holy Spirit speaks for us at times when we don't even know what to speak....So they kind of work on our behalf to petition God about what we prayed for. All of this is in the King James Bible...so I'm not shooting you any fake message. You can find what I am saying in there. But I hope this helps you.

Believing in God makes you a person who believes in God, not a particular religion. What religions do you believe in, if any?
Just believing in God does not make you Jewish. If they believe in the God of the O.T. and are waiting for him to send a messianic king, and believe that the law given to Moses is what they are to live by, then that would make them Jewish.

jewish they only belive the OT but listen Jesus was God in mans form he came here to save us from our sins if he didnt do that we would all be going to Hell no matter what from so bad and the curtain torn means we can now talk to God by ourselves instead in a church or in public him dieing for our sins gave us many things today that we use also the crucifixtion was the most painful death back then and that signafided how painful our sins are on God.

i myself weary of 13-12 months olds attempting to tell me what i've got faith. you somewhat don't have the 1st clue approximately Catholicism, and yet it puffs up your ego to submit those lies. we don't have faith each and every thing the Vicars of Christ say. that's reserved for while they are talking ex-cathedra, and invoke the Holy Spirit. The Holy Father, plenty as i like him, won't be able to be my first decision for suggestion on how the Stanley Cup series is going to flow. we don't reject the word of God as you seem doing. we don't take you heavily.

It makes you whatever you want to be. Why do people have to have labels attached to what they believe. What are we tins of food on a supermarket shelf. Be a free-thinker, society will hate it, they want to stick you in a box marked with your religious and political preferances.

We are so backwards as a species.
