They will struggle with the Toyota engines a little. All the Toyotas have and they will improve them but its going to take a little time. I think Tony, Denny, and Kyle (but still an improvement over JJ) will all finish a little lower than this year. I think 1 makes the chase and the other 2 will be just outside the chase.

Toyota is a big change, so I see a bit of a slump.
I see a mediocre season for Tony Stewart. I pick him to win the Daytona 500, but thereafter a season similar to Kevin Harvick's 2007, making the chase and running mid pack as it goes along. I see a 6th-7th in points for him.
I can't really forsee Hamlin making or missing the chase, but I do think he will struggle again if he does because of pressure and finish 10th-12th, and the fact that he's not driving a Chevy anymore. If he misses, the pressure will be off and he will accumulate alot of points and finish 13th in the standings because he'll be used to the car and team changes.
Kyle Busch fans, I'm sorry. I don't mind Kyle Busch, but I see a 2006 Jamie McMurray slump for him, because, not only does he have a new car type, but a new crew chief, spotter, team, teammates, etc, so it will take him some time to adjust. I think that Kyle is a talented enough racer that he will get good finishes every now and then and not wreck the car a whole lot, but I forsee alot of bad setups, inconsistency, bad calls, pit errors, etc. and that will be the story of his year. He'll be around 20th-22nd in points IMO, but who knows? Maybe he'll prove me wrong! Heck, I predicted Paul Menard to win Rookie of the Year and Tony Raines to make top 20 in points earlier this year LOL!
Supposedly, the #80 is to run full time in either 2008 or 2009, obviously with a rookie, and since Aric Almirola and Brad Coleman have left, it'll have to be Joey Logano who can't drive in the series until he's 18 (May '08). But if they do field it in 2008 full time, could it be Tony Raines, Johnny Sauter, Mike Wallace, Jeff Green, etc? If so, I can see this team doing consistently okay, then Joey coming along and doing inconsistently well. 20th in owner's points or somewhere around there is where I think they'd finish. Unlikely to happen, but who knows?

You know its really to hard to tell this early, I'm sure in the off season we are going to hear about testing etc.. I think they will have some growing pains..HNey if any Toyota team can do it JGR can ...I think they might come out with a win or two by the end of the season, several top 5's lots of top 10's. Hard to tell if they will make the chase....One thing for sure..Smoke won't stay beyond one yr if he doesn't win..I'm having a problem picturing him in a toyota, wonder if he will even be with JGR next yr???? Lots of questions here..and no one knows the answers..

I think they will struggle--I dont see them fixin in 2 1/2 months of Problems in the off season that Waltrips teams and Dave Blaneys Team couldnt fis last off season and all the Cup races this year. Tony Stewart might get some top 5s and a win. But he will be struggling to make the chase I believe because others Like Newman-Biffle-McMurray for instance will be much improved. But stranger things have happened!!!!!

I know all the guys at JGR. They will fix the majority of the issues that MWR has had. I also think that MWR has drivers that haven't been top seeded drivers in Cup. People continue to say that they won't win, but if I remember correctly, didn't Tony drive a Pontiac. Pontiac was 10 times worse than Toyota. Please forgive me for ranting, but I'm sick of people who don't know these people saying that Tony can't win in a Toyota, especially when he started in a PONTIAC!

Between their 3 drivers:
9 wins
all 3 make Chase
Smoke may be title contender, Shrub and Hamlin make top 10.
