The boring answer and the one you probably don't want to hear is: if you lose weight too quickly, your body will compensate by slowing down your metabolism; meaning you will burn calories at a slower rate. You will probably end up putting on more weight than you lose. When the body goes into famine mode, it does all it can to hold on to every calorie. Dull I know, but you will lose weight and keep it off more effectively by reducing your calorie intake to about 1500 calories for a woman; 2000 calories for a man, until you reach your ideal weight. Good luck.

there is really no such thing as the best "rapid" weight loss diet (which i know is the last thing you want to hear) "rapid" diets are really just traps and lead to weight gain and loss with no real results. Most diets that promise quick results are extreamly restrictive and they can actualy lead to overeating in the end, simply because your body is so hungry.

The best advice will come from a local dietitian who can help you by going through what you are eating on a day to day basis and helping you set up healthy menues and food plans that can be eaten for years (not just weeks).

Although you will not see results as quickly. I gareentee that you will see results that have a much better chance of lasting, and you will have much more energy and will not be as hungry achieving these results.

No rapid weight loss diet is good. Diets have proven to be ineffective and temporal. Any diet that dramatically reduces nutrition or calories will cause a rebound effect. The body responds via a self preservation mode and will cause an increase in weight gain by storing more body fat after diet than before you started the diet. The only proven effective long term weight loss regimen is through a lifestlye change (i.e., intense exercise and healthy diet combined for the ong term). Please don't sacrifice your life for a quickie remedy that is temporal at best and deadly at its worst (e.g., psuedoephedrine, ephedra, caffiene, etc.)

NONE.People have to realize their weight gain happened over time not overnight. They must then make a commitment to a lifestyle change including a balanced diet, exercise and doctor supervision.Fad diets are just that and provide a temporary fix. Over time any weight loss from them does not last.Make an apointment with your doctor who can councel you on how much weight you should lose and how to reach that goal.Good luck.

I've lost 5 kilos in my first week. It's my 10th day and I have included salad with some protein (eg. egg/ lean chicken) as you suggested. After 4 years of trying, the fat is finally coming off. It truly feels like magic!
