My Boxer is 6, and we started feeding him Authority Harvest Baked about a year ago, and he's gained a lot of weight. So I need to know a good weight control dog food to put him on. And also we have a Boston Terrier that's not over weight, but we feed them the same food so would it be ok for her to eat the weight control too? Because I really don't want to buy two different kinds of food, and they eat out of each other's bowls.

Try a grain-free food. Dogs don't need grain, and foods with grain often cause obesity because of all the carbs that dogs don't even need.

Here are some grain-free foods:
Wellness CORE (they also have a low-fat formula)
Orijen
Nature's Variety Instinct
Innova EVO
Solid Gold Barking at the Moon

Basically you are the tallest and you control the bowl and bag of food. So cut down on their volume a Little each day, get them lots of exercise and gradually watch their weight. Don't make a drastic change, just cut back. Do you measure what you give them? You need to do that so you can control it. Be sure to feed them in such a way that the small dog doesn't get her food taken away by the boxer. My cocker will check the plate of the heeler just in case he left something. But strangely the heeler never touches the other plate.
They should be getting a minimum of 1 hr a day walking.

There is a difference between weight maintenance and reduction. I would check his portion control and separate them at feeding. Increase his activity and decrease the food. I would seek a vet for bloodwork to rule out any underlying problems, many dogs with weight gain have thyroid issues.
If it is the food, try finding a maintenance food that is for older dogs and less active dogs.

You don't need weight control food, you just need to feed the over weight dog less of a portion.

I like Blue Buffalos light formula. But I think you just need to seperate them at food time and if the little one doesn't finish before times up, oh well, he'll eat faster next time.

i think it's ok , but if your other one gets too skinny (ya know what i mean?), then maybe you should get seperate bowls and food, just for safety reasons
