I always thought doggy daycare would be too expensive but..saw an ad in the newspaper for 1 and checked out the website, it looks so cute, has tunnels and agility for the dogs to play on... it's $29 for 6 or more hours. The dogs get temperment tested first and theres a webcam you can check up on them, and they have large and small sections, grooming, and holistic care. Is that a good/reasonable price? do you think they need doggy daycare? I walk my puppies 2 hours a day and on weekends i dont work so i bring them to parks and dogparks. They arent really alone often I work at home some days though and take care of my elderly mom so dont pay attention to them. I thought either doggy daycare or agility training classes(which are $150 once a week for 6wks). Theyre Jack russell/beagle and border collie/lab. thanks all.

If you wanna take em to agility training classes, cool.
As far as doggie day care, I would save your money. Dog Parks and the walks you take them on is plenty of activity and exercise. The agility classes are cool and if you and they would enjoy that activity together...great.
Use the doggie day care for when you need to go out and do lots of errands or are away for most of the day. Your puppies may not get a lot of attention when you are taking care of your mother or when you work, but they probably dont mind hanging out at home while you are busy.
If the puppies are adjusted to your schedule, then there is no reason to disrupt it unless you need to.
Good Luck.

I think you should just stick with the training. Since your dogs are not alone all the time and they get plenty exercises. Occasionally, I take my dogs to the doggie day care because I work full-time . I pay $25 for 8 hours per dog and I have three dogs. You can always use the doggie day care in case you have to work full-time in the future.

If I could, I would sign my husbands dog up for doggy daycare in a heartbeat. She has extremely severe separation anxiety and literally cannot be left home alone. I'm sure you can imagine the problems that causes when living in an appartment.
If you don't have issues like that though, I would go for the training classes. They're expensive but they're something you could build on and it's great bonding for you and your dogs.

I'd do the training and leave the doggie day care for when you really need it.
Your dogs need the training much more than they need to play all day with other dogs. Plus I have been told that a lot of people who bring their dogs to places like this often pick up worms and other parasites often too! so keep you pups with you and have fun training them ok.

I work at a Doggie Daycare. I always bring my Aussie with me. She loves it and she needs the exercise. Although the day I am at is only 10.00 for less than 5 hours and 17.00 for anything over the five hours. Day care is great as long as the people who own it require for all pets to bet up to date on all shots(rabies, DHLPP, and Bordetella) and also spayed/neutered and on current flea/tick preventative and also it doesn't hurt for all of them to be on a heart-worm preventative. Day care also builds socical skills and your dog/s are under constant supervision. But all in all it is a wonderful idea to take your babies they enjoy playing with others

I would stick with the training since it sounds like your dogs get plenty of exercise and play with other dogs.
So, no I don't think they need it.
Mine have gone on days when the A/C broke or when I am on vacation, but mainly because I know they get 24/7 care.
It's wonderful when you need it.

I think you should do the training. it will be a lot easier. yeah it cost a lot of money but it can help. the doggie day care is if u work during the day {not at home}. if u work at home there is no reason to send them to doggie daycare.

I'd do the training class. However, day camp is fun too. Jenna is a working girl (service dog) so I occaisionally take off her vest and let her go be a dog at a day camp. She knows when she's not on duty and boy, does she party. :P

I going to vote for the training classes. You have 2 working dogs. And they need jobs. And you can't even imagine how much fun they can have and you too. They are going to think they went to heaven.
