Ok so i like this guy who i used to sit next to last year he was really sweet and nice but he was kinda punk i am not like puttin us in different social groups but i am kinda preppy well this year he doen't talk to me anymore and i can't tell if he liks me or not he does some little thigs that makes me think he likes me but than he just blcks me out !!! i am not the type of girl who gets asked out or asks someboby out but i really like this guy he can sing, he is smart , and really cute !! HELP !!

Social groups should not matter, if you like each other, go for it! Just say Hi to him next time you see him and slowly start talking to him more and more, and start with developing a friendship

People are people. Don't let labels or outward appearances choose who you date. If you two like each other and do well together don't worry about your differences, especially ones as superficial as "I'm a prep and he's a punk."
In school I hang out with everybody. I dress more on the emo side but I have friends in every clique. I look at the people and hwo they are and whether they are able to treat others with respect. I don't limit myself or sset boundaries as to who my friends can or can't be.
It can work. You just have to have the guts to look beyond the soup-can labels that society has pinned on your backs.

Of course it can work out as long as you dont make a big fuss over lables...So what if he is punk and you are preppy..Ive dated all kinds of guys and the reasons we broke up had nothing to do with their style..Dont let anyone let you think otherwise..Ignore what people say and think..If you like him and he likes you thats all that should matter.. What will matter is you are happy with the guy you want to be with :-)

it could work, i mean in our school prep and punk are the one involved with each other, but he is really punk then get ready for the tidal wave!
and anyway if you loved him that would not even matter, prep and punk are just mere ideas in your head, what matters is what you are feeling inside, who cares whether you are more preppy and he is punk, if you are willing to compromise, i dont see why there should be a problem

Say like a "prep" and "punk" working together is like saying like.. is interracial dating allowed! Hah. It doesn't matter what type of label like that is stuck with people.
Go with the flow ;] if you dig each other, give it a shot and hint at him that you like him!
Make sure to not care what other people think, your friends, your parents, or whoever. A different type of person or personality is good when you're around similar types of people.

well if he's punk then he probably doesn't like preps. it doesn't work. why do you want to be preppy anyway. if you are worrying about what people think of you then he can probably see that in you and he might not like that type of girl. most guys who are punk do not like props because they are fake.

prep and punk can work. i have personally witnessed this with friends. basically you forget about you're differences if you two really like each other. and if you do like him just try to talk to him and try to see if there is any interest. good luck

Yay it totally work!Like yay!hehehe!There's a girl in my class who wears punky and emo clothes but she is so nice and a little preppy.Try it if you want to.But don't turn into Barbie.
