No it needs antibiotics and get the shots to prevent it, right now she is a walking, coughing, disease spredding dog. Don't mean to sound harsh but it is true.

Healthy adult dogs *can* usually recover from a mild case of kennel cough on their own. Kennel cough is similar to a cold, while most healthy adults can fight it off on their own it can also get really bad and progress into pneumonia. But if they are going to recover on their own, they will get over it in a week or two. After that, there's no way it's going to resolve without antibiotics. If this is kennel cough, and if she were going to recover from it on her own, she would have done so by now. Get her to the vet right away. If you're lucky, she'll just require a short round of antibiotics.

First of all, did a vet tell you that she has kennel cough! A dog cannot recover by themselves, from Kennel Cough without treatment from a vet. 2 months is an awful long time, if she hasn't seen a vet, so you really need to get her to one. Don't wait any longer and sit there and watch her suffer. It's not fair to her to have to go through this, without being properly treated for it.

Most mild cases of kennel cough can resolve on their own in about 10 days. If she has been coughing for 2 months, something else is going on. Time for a vet check.

No, she can't recover by herself. She needs to go to the vet and get medications. I had a dog that was boarded at a kennel and when we went to pick him up, he had kennel cough. He had to be put on antibiotics from our vet to get it to go away.

I think 2 mos is way too long to let her be infected with kennel cough. She really needs to see a vet and be put on an antibiotic to treat the infection.

Yes and No I do not think your dog has kennel cough but I would take your dog to the vet or give them a call.

You let your dog being sick for two months. If it doesn't recover after a short period of time (for mild cases), you should take the poor dog to the vet. Don't wait for any yes answers here.
