Stop eating as soon as you feel full. You will be surprised as time goes on how much food will be left on your plate. Start drinking juice like V8 splash and vitamin water it will help. If you get hungry between meals try the breakfast bars like kudos. It does take time but you will be surprised at the change in the long run and you will feel better and it is safer.

You are talking about a calorie restriction diet or the VLCD (very low calorie diet). This diet is based on (and has some evidence to) the idea that you can retard the effects of aging and prolong your life. A calorie restriction diet is not for weight loss but for other health reasons. Calorie restriction diets are those in which around 800/cal a day are consumed.

However, this diet is based on eating extremely nutrient-dense foods (the opposite of energy-dense foods-- empty calories) such as squashes and blueberries.

Frankly, a VLCD is not something you're likely to want to follow unless you've fully commited yourself to the idea of diet as a lifestyle where food is not eaten for enjoyment but as an act of refueling the body. It is not easy. If you follow a low-calorie diet without eating the appropriate nutrients and keeping a careful tab on what you are eating, you WILL do more harm than good. You may even gain weight as your body becomes convinced it's starving.

A better idea is to exercise and eat a healthy 1500 calorie/day diet (or more or less-- depending on doctor suggestion.)

Maybe just get rid of the sugars and the starches and prepared foods and keep the healthy foods like veggies and good clean proteins. maybe a multi vitamin.

Feel better about yourself? What, when you are in the hospital?

Use the brain God gave you dear, you will be doing great harm to yourself--why do you want to do that? You need some counseling.
