I have a solia and a sedu... my hair is exceptionally curly and chemically lightened so I need a tough flat-iron that won't destroy my hair. I tried Chi, it's not a bad iron but it's certainly not "the" top flat iron on the market anymore.

I personally love the Sedu. It gets up to 450 degrees, has an on/off switch and if you order it from Folica, you get a free heat-proof carrying case and free shipping.

try a GHD Good Hair Day. they are the top of the line flat irons right now, its the main one my salon uses.
