So if God originally told Adam and Eve that plants were for food and not animals, and didn't tell people to eat animals until after the flood when he was fed up with disappointment in humans, isn't being a vegetarian closer to what God's originally plan was, Biblically?
Wouldn't being a vegetarian mean being more pure for God?
Do you think following God's first plan or second plan after he was angry make Him happier?

I don't know about any of that; but I have heard that the Bible says never to eat flightless birds.

The dietary laws, as well as the laws governing holidays and other factors, are part of the Jewish traditions. Most Christians today are not Christians. In Acts 10, Peter receives a vision from God concerning Peter's hesitancy to meet with Gentiles, in which God uses food as a metaphor for people, and in which God chastises Peter for saying he'd never eat the unclean food. Then, in Acts 15, we get down to the crux of the matter. After Gentiles being hassled by the Jewish Christians to follow all the old testament rules, Paul and some others travel to Jerusalem to discuss the matter. Here's the critical version, which is a quote from Peter and the other leaders: 20 Instead we should write to them, telling them to abstain from food polluted by idols, from sexual immorality, from the meat of strangled animals and from blood. These are the only Old Testament laws that the first Jewish Christians thought were critical for Christians to follow.

Well eating meat for that reason is like saying "I know God messed up when he made me"
And not eating meat for the reason of God saying not too to Adam and Eve is like saying "I am going to try and be perfect. I can judge and sin in my head and/or out loud all I want, but I won't eat meat even though God couldn't care less anymore"
thats basically it

God is more interested in your heart and how you follow him,but you are right we should try to eat right and I don't think it is bad to eat meat.If God changed the rules after the flood then that's the rule's I'm going to live by.

No. You are trying to work to please God. To Him that is inequity-bad. Just be obedient, thats all He wants. If you want to stay off meats, thats okay-just keep it to yourself. There is nothing you can do to make God love you more. If God says its okay to eat meat-then for you to think its a bad thing is really not trusting God. Thats not good.

Doesn't matter. The only thing that brings you closer to God is His Son Jesus Christ.

We are under the new covenant now, but you can give yourself extra restrictions. You do not get any " extra credit " for it though.
