Because beautiful people often think of nothing but their looks and think that's all they need to get by. Us fugly people think about other people. We have charm & personality, and know we can't rely on our dashing looks to get us places like those beautiful but terminally stupid people do. Beauty fades away like mist on a summer morning, but charm & personality lasts forever. Well ... until senility sets in, then we're ugly and stupid. But we're still charming in a goofy sort of way.

it all has to do with personality. i know a guy that is not very attractive but all the girls want him because he is fun to be around, and he knows how to talk to them.
