It was a world wide flood.
And who said Noah had to take full grown adults?
Noah could have just taken some babies of many animals.

Young dinosaurs would have been fairly compact. Dinosaurs laid eggs, and those eggs had a habit of hatching into other dinosaurs, so any of the big ones that didn't survive the journey would have meant time for a feast. They would have made great ballast on the lower decks. I suppose under one of them you could have fit a duck, a horse, and a hippo.
My problem is not one of whether or not all of the animals could have been assembled and found room. God did the assembling and the ark was truly huge. My problem is with modern interpretation of the account. Did the assemblage include all of the animals that were represented before the flood, or is the author's perspective being misunderstood? We are sometimes so strict in interpretation that we lose meaning. The author was obviously post-flood and may have meant the animals we see today were transported. Failing this, is it conceivable that God may have caused some creatures to not respond? The garden was left behind, and so were the lives of all the rest of humanity. I have no problem accepting that some of the bones being excavated today may have belonged to animals God deemed not necessary to accompany Noah, especially those that would have had the greatest propensity to eat people or kill them with no intent to eat. It is all just my own idle speculation, born of desire to concede a little breathing space to frustrated disbelievers. The ark was plenty big enough. Doubters should revisit the true size of the animals they discuss and get an honest perspective instead of the overwhelmed imaginings they possess. At the same time, I must refrain from stating for fact a thing that is not even mentioned.

Nowhere does it say Noah was told to take a fully grown adult of each kind of animal. Yes some dinosaurs were huge, but there are tons of pros for taking an infant of the kinds of animals.
1. Infants take less room.
2. Infants are more durable.
3. Infants eat less.
4. Infants poop less.
5. Infants have many more years of procreation ahead of them.
Noah would have no reason to leave numerous kinds of animals off the ark when commanded to take one of every kind.
The world and it atmosphere and climate were radically different after the flood and this led to the elimination of animals that couldn't adapt to the post-flood world. After the flood the lifespan of humans declined sharply if you compare the ages listed in the O.T. and everything (plants, animals, and humans) grew considerably smaller as well.
The O.T. states the the whole world was flooded so there is no reason to believe otherwise. Scientists say it took millions of years for the Grand Canyon to be formed considering the rates of erosion. But how long would it take for a worldwide flood to form it, and the Grand Canyon is a long ways away from the Middle East.

Dinosaurs were extinct by the time God created man. Dinosaurs aren't mentioned in the bible because they were not there at that time. Genesis picks up where the creation of man starts. Nothing before that matters or is relevant to man today. The bible says in 2Peter 3: 13, that -God will create a new Heaven and Earth, the home of the righteous. (During he Day Of The Lord) Understand that a lot took place before God created the earth we actually know today, it's not mentioned in he Bible because that time doesn't apply to us now. We know that dinosaurs are carbon dated at millions of years ago. Man is not that old. So obviously God created them long before he did us. Research the size of the Ark. Now do you believe that one of every kind of dinosaur could fit , even if it was an infant along with all the other animals?

No dinosaurs were in the ark because there was no ark in the first place.
The stories at the beginning of Genesis are mythical, with a moral intention.
Real characters, locations and dates only start with the story of Abraham.

If the flood had been a local one, Noah could have just moved.
The flood was worldwide-there is just too much evidence for it.

Genesis 1:1 says that God created the Heavens and the Earth. God creates perfectly.
Genesis 1:2 says that the Earth was without shape and void.
Something happened between verse 1 and verse 2 that caused utter destruction of the Earth.
Possibility is that when Satan was cast out of Heaven for trying to take over, He got mad and destoryed what God had created, including all of the animal life that was here.

Worldwide. God coordinated the animals as they walked in neat rows right past the slacked jawed people who had just been mocking Noah and his claim that a flood was soon approaching.
