I am an optician and you do not have to get another exam if you have had one within a year. Just bring the certificate to your eye doctor and have them order you a trial pair.

You will not need a full eye exam but will need a contact lens check to determine if the Night and Day are fitting properly. The coupon just covers the trial lenses, not the cost of the assessment.

The coupons are just a manufacturer's gimmick. Your doctor would have given you a free trial pair without the coupon had you asked about Night and Day during the recent exam.

Eye Doctor here
If your Doctor fits you with another pair of contacts and takes the time to do it, do not expect him NOT to charge you. It is his time you are seeking. You would pay your regular Dr for an office visit if your blood pressure medicine didn't work for you.....................right?
I treat this situation differently depending on the situation, time since the last exam and most importantly.............how you treat me and my staff.
All Drs do differently with this situation. Readily and cheerfully pay the Dr for his time. Believe me, it seems everyone thinks they can get away with not paying an eye doctor for his time for some odd reason these days.
