I did just scan your question and picking up some of your habits aren't general symptoms of OCD but other disorders. A lot of people actually binge eat from time to time, losing self control thinking 'oh that was nice I'm going to go get another one' it's hard to gain back self control. Maybe you should see your doctor who could give you a proper diagnoses but OCD isn't normally this. OCD normally involves following rules and patterns, for example: cleaning your teeth at exactly 8 o'clock and if you don't do this something bad is going to happen or only wearing certain clothes because other clothes might give you bad luck.

OCD is very often confused with perfectionism which generally refers to over analyzing simple things on an occasional or semi-frequent basis. OCD however refers to recurrent and or repetitive actions such as constant hand washing or cleaning.
If you find that you become extremely anxious when a certain action is not carried out at a specific time or in a specific way then it is likely that you could have OCD. if not then its probably just a case of perfectionism which is a common trait in many people

You don't. People talk themselves into so many problems. Is it possible that you may be a hypocondiac? I am not trying to say that there is something wrong with you, but a doctor and a good work-up can answer. Maybe you do have OCD or something very similar that could be cured with extra vitamins. It wouldn't hurt to ask a Doc, and then you would know for sure.pp

Well, say you go out and drink and gamble every pay day , and you blow the money that should have paid the bills and cared for your family, and then you take out credit cards and max them out at the casino, or steal money from your wife or children, so that you can gamble and drink And you do anything in the guise that one day, your gonna hit the big one. Defiantly a OCD problem.
A simple one is a person that for some reason has to wash their hands every time they go near a sink.Generally in an unusual manner. OCD

If you have to have certain things just right. Like the volume on the TV or folding your cloths a certain way. Or doing things over and over a certain amount of times. I have OCD some of the things are worse than others.

i think everyone has a little OCD. OCD seems like when something has to be done (like cleaning, counting, straightening, stroking, or a certain order) and you will panic or be feeling strange until its fixed or done. in my opinion. compulsive, cant stop. its almost like an addiction. this probably doesnt help much, but thats how i determine OCD.

Some signs are as follows:
Do you feel uncomfortable when anything is out of place in your home? Do you spend a lot of time making sure that your coffee pot, and toaster are unplugged, before you feel safe leaving the house? Do you check your frond door three or four times before you are satisfied that it is locked?
And the list goes on, and on. Basically, Do You Obsess over things?

Unfortunately, you really can't. One of the main reasons you need to see a doctor is to get an outside view...otherwise you can convince yourself you have it because you like to wash your hands exactly 10 times a day or whatever, and any self-test you take will reflect what you believe you have whether or not it is actually true.

You can look it up on Web MD. I think a lot of us have a mild form of it. One form could be constantly washing hands or a ritual for luck--like some of the sports players don't shave or wear a certain pair of underwear or socks on game day because they have proven to be the wining pair of underwear.
