Im neither Muslim, Christian, or whatever. I dont have membership in any organized religion. But I read apart of the Quran where Yusuf saw 11 planets in a dream. But how did the Quran and Bible know that there were 11 planets that long ago? How do you explain them being right on that? Yeah Ive heard people say that the Quran is 100% bull because there are 8 planets and someone will surely respond and say that. But for people's information, there are 11. There are 8 large planets and 3 minor planets. These plants are Mercury, Venus, Earth, Mars, Jupiter, Saturn, Uranus, Neptune, Ceros, Eris, and Pluto. 8+3 = ?

May be there are many hidden Truths in the Holy Text Quran, which are not yet discovered by any one. Slowly perhaps God is bringing out more and more deeper Truths hidden in Holy Quran that are more Universally applicable for all times.

See this link in Y/A on some hidden Truths in Holy Quran, which are slowly emerging before the deeper divers into the Holy Text of Truth.

Perhaps a lot of significance is attached with the number 11. See this small incident that happened during the Athi Rudra Maha Yajnam (ARMY). The hidden meaning behind this incident is perhaps not comprehensible, perhaps comprehensible only for deeper divers with different meanings for different ones. Just a miracle for the Ordinary Masses and something of deeper significance to the thoughtful and perhaps even beyond the comprehensions of most intelligent lie the Real Truth.

Here the Sathya Sai Thought for the Day,

"Visions are only reflections of divine vibrations in the mind, aroused by Sadhana (spiritual practice). They are milestones, signposts; they happen on the road to the goal. They do not, they cannot accompany you right to the end. You will have to travel alone and overcome obstacles. Grace from your own self is the most important and essential help for spiritual progress. I might grant you grace without limit, but of what use can that be if your heart is not clean and if your head is full of ego? Clean your heart with Prema (love) and remove ego through service."

So far, little is known about the new planet, which carries the temporary designation of 2003 UB313. It is currently nine billion miles from Sun, at the farthest point of its 560-year orbit.

Astronomers from Switzerland, France, the U.S., and Israel say they have found 11 new planets.

Is Pluto a planet? It depends on what one thinks is necessary to
bestow planetary status.

Pluto has an atmosphere and a satellite.

Of course, Titan has a much larger atmosphere, and the tiny asteroid Ida has a satellite.

Most astronomers would strip Pluto of its status.

Is Ceres a planet? Like Pluto, when it was first discovered there was no doubt that it was. Within a few years, however, Pallas, Vesta and Juno were discovered.

While Ceres is the largest asteroid, the second, third and fourth largest asteroids are roughly half its size,
compared to Pluto, which is about ten times larger than the Kuiper
Belt objects found so far.

Ceres is also not thought to have
undergone large-scale geological processes such as vulcanism, although Vesta has.

The consensus is probably that neither Ceres nor any other asteroid is a "planet", though they are interesting bodies in their
own right.

Is Titan a planet? In the 1940's a methane atmosphere was discovered
around Titan, making it the only satellite with a substantial
atmosphere.

Recent observations have been able to penetrate to the surface of
Titan, showing tantalizing glimpses of what may be continents on the
surface.

The atmosphere combined with Titan's large size have led
some to consider Titan a "planet", but what about Ganymede, which is larger, or Mercury which is smaller and has no atmosphere?

Again, the general consensus is that satellites are not planets.

well technically, we do have 11 planets -- you just never hear about them. we originally had nine (no clue whats the proper order, so please excuse that) venus, mars, earth, jupiter, saturn, mercury, uranus, neptune, pluto. theres 9. back in the earlier 2000s, high power telescop images from the sattelites nad space station picked up two more, small orbiting planets behind pluto... One of which has been commonly used in astrology for many years, even centuries before it official status as a planet named Chiron, the other was named "planet x" for a long time, then codenamed Xena, because the guy who discovered it was a huge Xena fan (no kidding, really go look it up lmao) Now, there are only ""officially"" 8 planets, because after the discovery of the later two planets, the question of what is a planet started getting debated and debated and much further scrutenized, so the later 2 planets and Pluto were all down-graded into the category of "dwarf planets" but are still orbiting planets within our solar system so by all logic, he was right there are 11 planets. :)

" When Joseph said unto his father: O my father! Lo! I saw in a dream eleven planets and the sun and the moon, I saw them prostrating themselves unto me." Noble Quran (12:4)
Arabic wordvhere used for planet in this verse is كوكبا which when translated to english, gives planets/stars. So here it is used as planet and not star.
And brother, Quran has unvieled many scientific facts and phenomenons1400 years ago that scientists have discovered now or are still discovering. There is a mention of Big Bang theory and creation of Earth in Quran as well as the expansion of earth as scientists state. Quran has given details on biological creation and evolution of human being.
All you need is to study Quran with translation and a great knowledge and wisdom will be unvieled to you and who knows you someday turn to true faith that is Islam.
Keep researchig and best of luck.

All ancient thoughts, some reduced to writing, some not so, are based on wisdom and knowledge! Wisdom&Knowledge existed before religions, which in a few languages in different parts of the world, are 'opinions'! (The word 'religion' or its equivalent in some languages, could be translated as 'opinion'!)Our ancestors knew about the Universe, about the Solar System, about the Earth, about Ecology etc., and were in a position to hand down guidelines and advisory "operational manuals" for life and living practices, many many centuries ago! Some time in human history, with human settlements shifting and branching off, some tribes and clans migrating, some schools of thoughts diverged from central schools of thoughts, branched off in diverse directions, to give rise to "opinions" and 'controversies', which in turn, resulted in religions! So, whatever one's religion, some central themes in wisdom&Knowledge endured, and stood the tests of times and religions! The science of Astronomy is a discipline of learning among such themes! Hence the 11 planets in Quran!

One is considered to be the number of perfection in ancient numerology. 11 is one, twice. It is a symbolic number, never meant to be taken literally.
Suddenly changing the definition of the word "planet" makes the ancient religions 'proven' - don't think so.
Have a blessed evening

not to say that this is the case here because i dont know...BUT something too many people are unaware of is the fact that all those fallen angels described in the bible are still here. their whole purpose is to decieve and convince people to go against their creator God.
#1 they arent stupid, in fact their intelligence FAR exceeds our own ... in the areas of astronomy as well (why not?)
#2 they have been around far longer than any man alive today
#3 they can perform miracles, ie appearing as ghosts of people, talking to people, imitating un-fallen angels, people, or God and above all LIEING!!! (remember the magicians in moses' day who ALSO turned their sticks into living snakes?-thats pretty impossible for man, and it definately wasnt from GOD)
#4 they can predict the future, as long as that future involves something THEY are going to do, and as long as GOD doesnt prevent them from doing whatever they had planned

So, its no mystery when spiritists or false prophets seem to have known something impossible for a mere man to know. the only mystery is how they have convinced billions of people to believe anything they say just because they can do a miracle.
