The fact is that Mohammed had nothing to do with the quran since could not read or write.

Just an added note, contrary to the popular belief among Muslims, Muhammad (PBUH) isnt really illiterate. Also, how did he work with Khadija (merchant) if he is illiterate?

Muhammad claim that he got the message from angel of God during the period over 20 years. Oral message was given to scribes during his life time.They have also hadiths.
