Since Christians seek God's will for their life and seek to do better every day it would not be logical for them to do anything against God's will. Yes we do still sin from time to time but with God's help we try to do better.

God is not to be mocked. Hebrews 10: 26 says if we deliberateley continue sinning after we have recieved knowlege (know what's right and wrong) no sacrafice for sin is left. Trust me he knows when you are sincere about asking for forgiveness. So in other words, you can't just keep doing the same thing or purposely planning to sin with the mindset that I'll just ask for forgiveness. If you purposely continue to sin, and your repentance isn't heart felt and genuine, it means nothing. Just like if your spouse keeps cheating and expects that even after thirty times sorry will fix it, because he just used the word. So Christians can't just do what they want and say OOps! Look at 1John 3:8-10

I won't argue that some Christians think that way (or at least appear to think that way)...but they're the ones that are conveniently forgetting the words of Jesus when he said, not all that cry out Lord, Lord will enter heaven but only those that that do the will of the Father. Forgiveness doesn't give a Christian the right to sin with impunity...it gives them the motivation to keep trying to do the will of the Father after they make a mistake.

the greatest hypocrite is the one that claims he has morals only because they are written down, legislated directions on how to be moral. legislated morality or compassion turns a nation against those needing compassion. look at the usa over how to treat social security, welfare, and disability recipient. there is a great animosity towards those needing help to survive, where the govt uses the law and taxes to require compassion. chrsitians use the law of the land in order to get out of its role as compassion provider. Let the govt. do it rather than spend church resources to help the less fortunate. Does god even know what christians are saying about her?

We know what keeps us from continuing in sin but what about non-believers? If you do not believe in retribution for sin and that men are basically descendants of animals, what keeps you from doing whatever you want? I know there are laws but aren't they a hindrance to you guys? The laws after all, are probably a ploy of Christians to prevent you all from having fun.
Romans 8:
8 So then, those who are in the flesh cannot please God.
9 But you are not in the flesh but in the Spirit, if indeed the Spirit of God dwells in you. Now if anyone does not have the Spirit of Christ, he is not His.

God gave us rules to follow but he also gives us free will to do what we choose. All humans are have a sinful nature (all but Jesus because he was not born of a human seed) and Jesus came to pay the price the that sinful nature. Romans 6:15 says "What then? Shall we sin because we are not under law but under grace? By no means!". I hope that makes sense and that that answers your question! God bless!

Because I am a good person. I WANT to be kind. I WANT to do what is right. I WANT to treat others as I want to be treated.
Most of us are really cool people. We WANT to have morals.
None of us want to steal, murder, etc.
Why would anyone think that we do?
:( If you would give us a chance, you might be pleasantly surprised.
I can't help but be sad to think that some people hate us so much and think that we are the scum of the Earth.
I love you, too. You're one of the "genuises" here.
I know you didn't mean it. However, some of them really do hate us all just for loving God.

Ah, you gotta read the fine print. See, God holds Christians to a higher standard because he knows we know better. So sins are actually more likely to bite us on the hiney after we were saved than before.
I've sometimes thought I accepted Christ too young and missed some fine opportunities to get up to stuff. I'm reminded of St. Augustine: "Oh Lord, give me chastity, but do not give it yet."

It doesn't work that way. A true saved born again Christian will not under any circumstances commit such crimes or sins. Being a Christian is not a free ticket to live and do as one pleases.

Rev Bobby said:
"The ONLY law that Christ did away with was the clean and unclean foods laws. "
Does this mean the rules about wearing clothes made of 2 types of cloth, picking up sticks on Sabbath, and cursing your parents still hold?
Wow. I should go open a stone shop.
