Really some of you atheists.

None of it?

Not even some of the principles like love one another?

I have a hard time believing that you cant even buy into some of the principles of the Bible.

I believe in following the commandments that have the widest impact on the greatest number of people, such as the prohibitions against killing, stealing, bearing false witness and committing adultery. One does not need to be religious in any way to accept that we are all on this planet together and need to be kind to one another.

The Bible has plenty of wisdom. I simply do not take it as a literal guide to life, word for word. It is interesting to read through, and I think everyone should do so at least once. There are so many words, sayings and phrases in the Bible that have become part of the cultural vocabulary, and I think the person who knows where these phrases originate has the advantage over the person who does not.

My favorite passage from the Bible is Ecclesiastes 9:11:

I have seen something else under the sun:
The race is not to the swift
or the battle to the strong,
nor does food come to the wise
or wealth to the brilliant
or favor to the learned;
but time and chance happen to them all.

What makes you thank just any one can understand the Bible. The Bible was not given for every one to understand, the bible was given for God's people to understand, for with out God's spirit, to help you to under stand the spiritual words of God, you can't get the true understanding. The Bible is constantly being miss interpreted. If you are truly repentant, and have excepted Jesus Christ as your savior, been baptized, by God's true minister, and have received God's comforter(spirit), you will believe every thing written in the bible. I've been studying the bible over 50 years; I am now beginning to understand the bible, (a little here, and a little there), I ask God for wisdom and understanding. Prepare
your self, have faith, believe, and you will be on your way.

I believe the spiritual lessons contained within the Bible. In fact, I read it almost every night before going to bed. I sense the reality of those lessons as I equally sense the reality of lessons from other sacred texts.

2 Timothy 3:16 says "All Scripture is God-breathed" which means that all Scripture was spoken to men and women who wrote it down. Therefore, I believe in God and His Son, Jesus and so I believe everything in the Bible! Hope this helps and God bless!

i believe the hereditorial records are mostly accurate. i believe the babylonian captivity. i believe there was a king david and a king cyrus and i believe that jerusalem was once destroyed.

i think the rest of it is the same as people once believing that george washington was 10 feet tall, never once lied and threw a silver dollar across the delaware river.

we want our founders to be of mythical proportions. the same is true of the bible people.

I don't believe the lies of the devil but I am glad the Lord loved us enough to record them in the bible so we can actually see them and see how subtle he is and how he can use everything from a snake to a human.
Bless the Lord!

To every answerer here who said you believed nothing in the Bible.

I guess you don’t:
1: Believe the earth is a sphere hanging upon nothing.
2: Believe that rain comes from clouds, gets evaporated, and returns to the ground again. (Water cycle.)
