Well ive had my amp and subs just laying around for a while they worked and all and today i tried to hook them up and im not getting any sonund from my subs whats wrong? the subs work i tested them and the amp its one of those amps that you can see through it the light turns on... anyways right aftr i turn it on the protection lights turns on and not a sec later it turns off but no green light whats wrong ??? someone help

well there could be so many reasons. If your protection light comes on it could be you have the woofers sitting at the wrong ohm on the amp. So check the ohm load. Let me just tell you when amps come with features like you can see through them they are usally cheap and dont last very long no affense so it could just be the amp itself. Try this wire everything up the right way. Plug everything in to the amp. Just unhook the woofers from the amp turn the car off so everything resets then turn it back. Turn the deck down low but not to low and get a regular speaker and hook it up to just one channel and if you dont get any sound out of it thats means eigther the sub output on your deck is bad, the rca jacks are bad or the amp itself is bad and if the protect light still comes on when you just hook up a regular speaker then its most likely the amp

you need to trouble shoot better, try un hooking the rca jacks then power the amp and see if the light still goes right on if it does check the amp fuse if it is good then you have to get it fixed or buy a new one>
