you will see dreams better lool
seriously you will hurt your eyes , the superficial layer of your eye take it's oxygen from the air through the tears so what you do is you prevent this layer from breathing and it will die or look for other sources of oxygen like blood and will make blood vessels appear over your cornea .

well that would be bad you could get infections in your eyes and not only that your eyes will be dry and red. The contacts will stick to your eyeballs so much you may need to put a few drops in them to loosen up the contact lenses. Dont ever leave them in thats just going to make things worse. k. Ask your doctor and say Im not happy with the contacts that I have can I try some other kind. They do have ones where you leave them in for a few months and dispose of them. Long term contacts. I have contacts my self they are the disposable ones that you wear for 5 hours a day then they get taken out at the end of the day. Make it a routine try doing it while youre watching tv or when youre in the bathroom brushing your teeth do this before or after u brush.

If you leave them in when you sleep, they get dry and stick to your eye more. More than likely if you ask an optometrist they will say that it is bad for you to do that. But I've done it before, just one night at a time though. And if it's been less than a year since your last appointment you can get new contacts without a new script, but it has to be less than a year or they won't allow you to get new ones. And the ones you just leave in are wicked awesome!! So much easier

The ones that last a week still have to be taken out, but you can use one set for a week and then you change them (rather than every day, every two weeks, or every month). If you leave them in, your eyes will dry out a lot, but just put in a lot of the eye refresher drops and don't wear contacts the next day.
Talk to your doctor about it. As far as I know, there is no kind of contacts that can stay in overnight. You never know though!
Best of luck!

My brother has acuvue advance and he was too lazy to take them out sometimes and slept with them in, and when he went for his appointment, the doctor discovered he had dead cells in his eyes because the contacts were not allowing them to breathe properly. So he had to wear his glasses for two weeks so his eyes could heal. He only took naps in contacts, not slept a whole night, so I wouldn't recommend it.

jeez, those other people weren't being very helpful! LOL! I've been wearing contacts for 2 years so I was bound to fall asleep with them eventually. But the most I've fallen asleep with them in is for about 2 hours. It feels kind of blury and hard in your eye, like you're not getting enough oxygen. I usually have to take them out after this happens. I asked my optometrist about the ones that you wear continuously for a week and he warned me against it, saying the ones you take out at night are healthier for my eyes. Someone also said that they will roll back into your head. I hope you don't believe them. I've gotten them "lost" in my eye before and you just have to be patient but eventually you'll see it and you will be able to get it easily. You said that you hate taking them in and out. It kind of sounds like you just recently got them because I remember how hard it was for me to put in and out but it gets a lot easier. So I hope I helped you and doesn't wearing contacts make life just a little easier?! LOL!!! :)

i heard they might roll to the back of ur eyes and have to get surgery. BUT I THINK THIS IS A MYTH. im not sure lmao, cause everytime u blink ur eyeball actually rolls back in the head in less then a second. its not gonna do permanent damage to ur eyes, but it can get irritateed and itchy and maybe dry. bring ur glasses and throw out ur contacts b4 u go to sleep or just bring ur contact stuffs

i sometimes wear my contacts to sleep, and ususally it turns out fine. Sometimes they just feel dry the next day. But i guess somehow it could be bad.
But i have acuvue too, and my doctor told me every once in a while i could sleep with my contacts in, but not 2 nights in a row.
Im 14, too. (almost, 3 days)
=)
