I'd go with spanish it'll help you in the future, with whatever job you will have. There are a lot of hispanic people in the U.S and learning the language can help you get hired much faster then others who don't know the language. Learn French later in life, it's very similar to Spanish so take spanish first then French (it's what my friend is doing). But unless you are planning to move to France then whatever.
The languages are both pretty and stuff like that (their cultures), but don't look at the surface look at the how it will benefit you in the future.
But overall I am going to say this: it is totally up to you.

Hey!
I'm in Spanish 3 right now, and I absolutely love it. It's my favorite high school class by far!
1. I think French sounds way prettier (more romantic).
2. French is harder to pronounce (it has tons of vowels)
3. Really? I can't really tell you that. I took like a sampler class with French, Spanish, and German. I found French really beautiful, but it's harder than Spanish (more accents and vowels).
4. Spanish. I absolutely love rolling r's and I found the nasal-y-ness hard to master in French.
But seriously, a lot of the grammar and conjugation (matching verbs to their subjects) are really similar and if you wanted to learn one you could always try to pick up the other.

1. Prettiest would be French, but good luck pronouncing your r's. It took me about a year to get the accent!
2. I don't know what you mean by "better" pronunciation. But just to let you know, Spanish is easier.
3. I love both! But French tends to be MORE interesting.
4. My favorite?
That's hard.
Take spanish though, it's used more.
:]

well, where do you live? ever plan on going to a country thats speaks either of the language? If you take one, and the other one another time, you will find out they have alot of words in common. I enjoyed spanish better, but i think it was because of the teacher, i am taking french right now.

Spanish is the easiest language to learn, it is the second most spoken language in the world (first is English) and I think French is kind of an ugly language personally.

Personally, i think you should take spanish. It's pretty easy to learn and it's a more common language in the US than french.

I would take spanish because hispanics are the largest minority in the US now. They have surpassed black people. Also, the French language is pretty inconsequential with regards to world business where as the Hispanic culture is growing very rapidly.

I took both, plus german. french is very very hard. in every way. 1) the prettiest---a tie 2) spanish is easier to pronounce. 3) a tie 4) spanish however----if you are smart and dedicated------nothing makes you sound more sophisticated than speaking french. spanish is practical because so many people speak it in the us today. good luck!!
