I'd say you already answered it yourself. Remember, if he does shave it, kiss him a lot more and he won't grow it back.

This is a tricky questions.
Why not just tell him exactly what you told us in here. If he adores you like you do him then he should understand.
Also, try the guilt trip about getting passed over for promotions. Explain that you think he would have been great working with the larger clients and why not shave the beard so that he can see if will help him get further in his career.
Good luck.

Funny thing about a beard. Have you actually seen him without it? My husband has always had a beard. I talked him into shaving it off 17 years ago when our son was 2. All I remember is the blood curdling scream out of our son when he saw his dad without a beard. I never asked him to shave again. You really gotta be careful what you ask for.

The truth of the matter is that you can't! You can suggest but you cannot insist. What is most bothersome is the fact that even though he jokes about it, his beard truly is the one major thing that is keeping him away from a promotion! I would ask him why he would do that to himself. You may find out he's sabotaging his own possibilities for moving ahead at his job.

I'm in the same boat, but I like my guys beard. But it does hurt really bad when he kisses me. You should definately keep bringing up the fact that it hurts you everytime he kisses you. Be a baby for a dramatic affect and watch his reactions. My sister got her husband to take out his facial piercings. Some guys respect girls. Maybe he will respect you.
If all else fails, make him a bet that if he looses he has to shave it. That always works as a last resort.

You could always start out by saying, "I wonder how you'd look without your beard..." and leave it at that. He might think about it for about a week and then suddenly shave it off. (This is what my husband did with a hideous moustache he'd had forever.)
If that doesn't work, say, "I wonder how if would be to kiss you without a beard.... I probably couldn't leave you alone." That should definitely work!

You have to get him to think of shaving his beard as his idea.
What would be the benefits of him being beardless or well groomed?
Tell him it would be sexier and feel better for you if he shaved that beard off. Tease him playfully with the idea that you find it really sexy when men are clean shaven.
If he keeps the beard, don't have sex with him until he shaves.

tell him you had a dream that you were having passionate moments with a man you didnt know..and then suddenly realised it was him without the beard!!!!!
Have you seen him without the beard? if so..you could tell him how sexy his jawline was before the beard.
Somehow..you have to make him want to shave it off...hmm
sprinkle some itching powder in it when he is sleeping!!
The only way l got my man to shave his beard off was to tell him he looked exactly like an ex b/friend that l dumped.

Sounds about right, you get a man hooked then start changing him. Typical woman (only joking)
I have been known to quit jobs because they insisted that I remove my beard though, so be careful and leave yourself a way out when you tell him

You can't change his style. You have to accept him the way he is....I'm sure your man would not like you to change him.
You can probably express that you're uncomfortable when he kisses you because of the beard....but he has to come up with the suggestion to get rid of it and decide whether he's going to be considerate enough of your feelings. Good luck! :)

ummm, you are being too controlling or overstepping your boundaries, you do understand he is still able to make his own choices independent of you right? If he wants to grow a beard like ZZ Top, let him grow a damn beard & mind your own business. Seriously youve only been dating for a few months & already trying to change things about him, I feel for this guy, you sound like a ball buster.
