I would say that the recipe you're looking at is talking about elk antler that has been ground into a powder. It would be a matter of using a digital scale to measure 250mg or .25 grams. I think it converts to .008818 ozs. Hope this helps.
This is a measure of weight, not volume, so neither measuring spoons nor cups will work here. You'll need a digital scale.
For instance, 250mg of sand would take up a different volume than 250mg of elk antler. I hope this makes sense.

Are you dealing with a liquid or a tablet?? And can you be specific about what the label says?
Is this what you have?? Its all I could find so therfor 250mg would be 1 capsule

what do the directions exactly say on the label , ie. give 250mg/kg every 6 hours etc. also, it'll say 1mL = 250mg, etc.... give me the specific label directions and i'll be able to work it out for you.

It is a quarter of a gram. There are 454 grams in one pound. So it would be just a pinch.
