I know that there are cypress trees in various places that are even older than redwoods. One is in Colorado, and I *THINK* that another is in Arizona. They tend to be at very high elevations so that they grow slowly - almost a natural bonsai.

Prometheus (aka WPN-114) was a Great Basin Bristlecone Pine that had survived tree about 5000 years before it was cut down.

There is a tree along the coast in California (bristle cone pine tree) that is over 4,000 years old, named Methuselah.

That's the oldest I have heard of.
