Your eyes might be really dry or your contacts could be dirty or old. You could ask for a different type of contact next time you have an eye exam. Try Oasis brand. Otherwise, you may be developing chronic dry eye. It is more common in people who wear contacts. Try wearing glasses (ughh!, I know:) for a couple of days if possible. I developed problems with dryness after using contacts daily for about five years. I decided to have corrective eye surgery done after monthes of dealing with the pain and redness. My have not had problems since the surgery just over a year ago.

You are not supposed to rinse contacts with water because of the chorine in the water. No... Always use saline solution with a disinfection. Opti Free is a really good one and is #1 in a low prob of problems. If you have used water in your contacts, take them out for a day and let your eyes rest and use some soothing eyedrops. If not better go to your eye dr.

No, they should not burn. Don't wash them in water, it is not sterile. You may need to try a different contact lens saline solution. I had a problem with a few brands, even ones for 'sensitive' eyes.
You should feel nothing at all with contacts in, unless your eyes are dry.

it is never suppose to burn
take the contacts out of your eyes immediately
and look at them to see if anything like dirt or something got on it/ or you need to use eye drops
i don't think you should reuse them if they have dirt on it, but if they don't go for it [don't use water, use the solution that you usually put your contacts in]
you shouldn't be able to feel the contacts when you have them on
