i tried to call my husband and a woman answered the phone - so I yell "who is this?" and she says "well whom are you calling?" i yell again "who is this?! then hang up the phone so furious. i then look at the display and see that i didnt call my husbands cell phone - i dialed my mother in law!!! so i am totally embarassed and dont know if i should call and explain - it is possible she didnt even know it was me (no caller id). my sister in law thinks i should table it for now and we will discuss it one day when we all have a few glasses of wine. i feel terrible - she may know it was me. i dont know if i should purge my secret or not. What should I do??????
PS - i love my mother in law to pieces - we get along great

I'm sorry, but that's hilarious! If you are sure she doesn't have caller ID, then perhaps it is best to bring it up sometime later on down the line....a more relaxed atmosphere....if there is a chance she knows it was you, I would just call her and tell her.

If you get along great there is no problem call her or stop by her house explain to her you were drinking a little and went to call her son for a ride or whatever and heard a girl's voice and freaked in my guess she'll laugh it off and tell you she didnt know who it was but she thought they were crazy and everything will be fine. Thats how I think she would act if ya'll get along great anyways
Best of Luck

i would listen to sis for now and just let it slide.
if your mother in law should bring up the call, then go ahead and deal with it,but if she doesnt have caller id, she may just not know

not telling the truth is not the same as telling a lie. If not telling the truth is good for peace and love, you should not tell.
