I have seen this video a while back. The problem with what she has to say is her lack of knowledge of Islam. Because she doesn't know how the religion is supposed to be, she constantly condemns the negative aspects of some peoples cultures and mistakes the culture for the religion of Islam. The form of Islam she was raised in is a sect of Shiia Islam (which makes up about 10% of Muslims in the world), her particular sect is the Alawites, who the majority of muslims believe to be hereitcs. They deify Ali. a preposterous though to most of us. What works in her favor is she is a very intelligent, articulate woman it is just unfortunate she doesn't have Islamic knowledge. What she does quote is taken out of context. It is easy for a person to take an Aya (verse) out of context and make it seem horrible. An example of this for Christians would be ther verse in 1st Corinthians Chap 14 verse 34 it says "\Let your women keep silence in the churches: for it is not permitted unto them to speak; but [they are commanded] to be under obedience, as also saith the law." So women aren't allowed to speak in Church? See how it works to take something out of context?

Choosing this woman to represent all that is bad about Islam would be kind of like choosing a former Mormon to speak against all of Christianity...
No offense meant to the Mormons, but the majority of Christianity thinks LDS are something short of heretics...

I deeply admire this woman. Her courage to speak up and be honest is something Muslims hate.

I could not help noticing the towers behind her. Her adversary appeared to be in a darkened room. It all seems so appropriate.
