i just opened it, connected the power cord.. i want to view the non cable channels as i do not have teh cable box as of yet. how do i do this? i only see a black screen. plz help

im scanning for channels right now and its 57% done and found 0 channels.. whats wrong??

Make sure you have a Antenna hooked to the back of the tv....and if it's a older set, set it to tv mode instead of cable or HRC...

Did you plug your CATV coax into the "Antenna" input?
Are you sure you turned the TV on? Hit the volume UP/DOWN button on the remote to see if something pops up on the display.
Then use the remote to change the input to "Antenna".
You may have to go into the TV menu screen and find a "Setup" menu and have it scan for channels.
