Okay, he is probably insulting you. He pretends to not know your name. He is trying to make it clear to you that you're a nobody and no one cares enough to remember your name.
He's probably a jerk.

well, he would only want to know your name is he was some what intrested in at least becoming friends! so you have a chance with going out with him!

either because:
1.) he has not ever known who you were until you introduced yourself to him.
2.) he was trying to tell you something (i.e. that you are insignificant to him) which in effect makes him a jerk and not worth your time.
