I just love Company's Coming by Jean Pare.
You do not need to make difficult sauces as you can just open a can of Campbell soup say ( mushroom) and pour over fried chicken and you have a tasty meal. It works well with noodles too. It uses everyday ingredients. This book is published and distributed in Canada and USA.

Hi,
My recommendation is "The 60-Minute Gourment" by Pierre Franey (paperback, about $13). The meals are excellent and easy to prepare. I've had this book for more than a decade, and go back to it again and again. The only time-consuming process is cutting and chopping, but if you chop loads of stuff ahead of time, you'll speed things up. Actual cooking time of course varies from meal to meal, but mostly it's around 20-30 minutes. Recipes for one or two side dishes are included right next to the recipe for each main course.
Sincerely,
CycleMan

There's a cookbook out there called "A Man, a Can, and A Microwave". bought it for my son a couple years ago... he loves it.
There is also a cookbook called "Six Ingredients or less". You may want to try that as well.

One of Rachael Ray's would be good; her latest is "Just In Time" and all dishes are prepared in 30 minutes or so.
You may also try one of the "Fix It And Forget It" cookbook. It's all designed for the crockpot.
