SUNSHINE PUNCH
6 oranges
6 lemons
1 lb. can pineapple juice
1 small bottle maraschino cherries
2 quarts sparkling white grape juice
Make a large block of ice, using an empty fruit juice carton or some similar container, the night before.
Squeeze the oranges and lemons to obtain juice, discarding seeds.
Place fruit juices and cherries in a punch bowl over the block of ice.
If this is to be used for a picnic, a large insulated Thermos container can be used instead of a punch bowl. Fill a pre-chilled Thermos 1/4 of the way with regular ice.

Mix together:
Hawaiian punch (any flavor, original is best)
Pineapple juice
Orange juice (w/ pulp)
Apricot juice
Ginger Ale (or 7-up)
I don't measure, I just mix it until I like the way it tastes. For the average punch bowl, it is about 1/4 large jug of Hawaiian Punch, 1/2 lg can pineapple juice, 1/2 gallon of orange juice, 1/2 bottle of apricot juice, and 1/2-3/4 of the soda (2-liter bottle). I make ice cubes out of the punch or freeze some in a bundt pan to keep it cold without watering it down. You can also add sherbert to make it foamy.

Get some premade punch in cans or jugs and add either some 7-Up or Ginger Ale soda. It makes the punch fizzy and lighter. Also, make an ice block out of some of the plain punch. Freeze it in a container and add it when ready to serve. The punch won't get watered down this way. You can also add sliced orange or lemon and a jar of cherries to make the punch look prettier.

Punch for a Bunch
8 cups hot water
3 cups sugar
8 cups cool water
2 cups lemon juice
1 (12 oz) can frozen orange juice concentrate, thawed and undiluted
1 (46 oz. can) unsweetened pineapple juice
4 (1 quart) bottles ginger ale, chilled
Combine 8 cups hot water and sugar until sugar is dissolved. Sin in 8 cups cool water and fruit juices. Cover and freeze overnight, stirring juice mixture at least twice during freezing process. (I usually freeze mix in a zipper bag so I can just mush it to mix it.) Remove from freezer about an hour before serving. Break into chunks; add ginger ale, and stir until slushy. Enjoy! Makes 10 quarts.
**I usually have an extra bottle or two of chilled ginger ale on hand, in case more liquid is needed to balance the slush.**

Wedding Punch
2 gal raspberry sherbet
2 gal vanilla ice cream
1 gal cranberry juice cocktail
Enough 7-up (maybe a litre) to make it the right consistency - of a thick malt
Diet 7-up will make it less sweet. Don't substitute ginger ale!!
Mix in large kettle with potato masher or an electric mixer. May need to soften ice cream and sherbet just a *little* bit.
Serves 100. Can be halved or quartered.

Here's a good basic recipe that wows people.
Cranberry-Orange Punch (Great for Thanksgiving)
1 can frozen concentrated Orange Juice
1 can frozen concentrated Cranberry Juice
Ginger Ale--well chilled
Mix juices in a punch bowl using Ginger Ale instead of water (for best results, melt frozen juices prior to mixing with Ginger Ale).
Float a few orange slices and fresh cranberries in the bowl.
Serve and enjoy.
(For those who want alcoholic punch, you can either use some sparkling wine or add some Southern Comfort.)
Orange-Lemon Punch
replace Cranberry Juice in above recipe with frozen concentrated Lemonade
Orange-Lime Punch
replace Cranberry Juice in above recipe with frozen concentrated Limeade
Lemon-Lime Punch
use frozen concentrated Lemonade & frozen concentrated Limeade
