Someone told me if I dont have a hd tv the ps3 will not look good at all. Is that true?

The PS3 runs true HD. Although the PS3 will still look good, the full and glorious benefit of crisp, sharp pictures along with the darkest blacks and most vivid colours will be reaped from the purchase of an HD TV.

That's not true at all. A HDTV will make it look a lot better, but it will still look great on a standard definition TV. If you want to you could probably get a pretty good 720p HDTV and it shouldn't cost too much. You would still notice the jump in resolution and performance from standard definition.

Neil G hits the nail in the head. I have standard flat 100Hz CRT TV, The picture is amazing (better than PS2 or 360 or Wii), but when I saw PS3 on HD - it's even better.

The ps3 will look great on standard def television, but the jump in quality from SD to HD is quite significant.

Because i runs blu ray (HD Format) It is best to get a HD TV for full quality and clarity but it is ok on a normal tv

yep it will work on a standard tv i have mine in a standard tv but when i plug in into my smaller hdtv it gets alot better

yes it will affect the visual performance...... but its not that bad... i once did not own a HDTV and it didn't look that bad at all.... just not as good as a HDTV....

bulsh*t it should work excellent on any t.v that is 36 inches or bigger
