Because they don't want to join the 60% divorce rate.
In other words they have lost hope.
I'm serious. A lot of people would rather not do something than do it when there is better than 50/50 chance of it backfiring.
This is the new age of nothing working out okay.

Well thes could be a number of reasons. I happen to be better friends with guys and have asked them and had many different answers. Most commonly I find that guys like being single, they like being a loner, cause they can have more fun in their younger years,a dn Arent ready to find more than just find right now. They want to have the fun while they can and not worry about falling in love,, hurting someone, or any of that... Hope this helps a bit.

Well, There not really loners. Take me for example, I have lots of friends, yet I act like I don't care, but I really do. Just because they act like a loner, dusn't mean they are. So talk to em, and don't take no for an aswer, the truth is, they just want love.

It has more to do with my personality than my appearance. I enjoy the company of others, but to truly decompress and put the day's events into perspective I need to spend some time alone. When I'm surrounded constantly I experience "sensory overload". I imagine other similarly introverted people feel the same way at times.

Being an individual, comfortable with himself and not in need of the admiration of others for his self-worth is reason enough to be a loner (and very happy about it).

Could be calculated. Could be shyness. Could be shame of origins or family economics. Could be in his genes. Could be recovering from a sadness. Could be his chick-magnet device. If he is to be approached, walk right up to .... say he's having lunch ..... sit down and have a question ready, :"Aren't you in my -------class? By breaking the ice, much can be learned about a relationship: Do I want it to happen? Does he? You'll be breaking new ground but even the Northwest territory had to be explored. Oh, the only compass you'll have is in your bean

Men often don't seek out others because they have learned to be self sufficient. Maybe they have been on their own for a long time, lost connection to others, or feel more comfortable fending for themselves. A good woman can change that, but men often resist letting anyone into their world.
