You can read anywhere, after a while you'll be able to write anywhere. I used to write under the dining room table when I was your age. My Mom had one of those long cloths that hid the space under the table, and I used to get cushions to lie on. I scrounged an old case of my grandad that could lock so my deeply annoying brothers couldn't read my stuff and tease me, to keep my pens and books in and use the case to lean on. Under the table was the only sane place I could find in the house I was dragged up in.

Your porch sounds like a great place to set up camp - watching people will probably give you some great material too:)

Good Luck

I'm a reader and a writer too. We have two bathrooms in my house, so normally I lock myself into the smaller one to get some well needed writing time. My brother needed a space of his own, and he cleaned out an area in the basement, and set up a small computer lab down there. But, if you're looking for a temporary place, just use the bath room :-)

Sounds like your in the same situation as me! I can't just be alone! LoL! Since my bedroom doesn't have a lock, I just sit with my back against the door (sounds crazy I know). If someone trys to come in I just say "I'm trying to work, come back later". Another solution may be outside. We have a swing outside, and I love to go out there and read! It's so peaceful! Best of Luck!

If you have any siblings it can be even more annoying and harder to find a place where u can be alone. Just think of a small spot where nobody could find you that is comfortable and easy to access. Then if you have any good ideas, plz rate me as best answer... Just started Yahoo answers and this could be my first one. Would greatly appreciate it. THX

pick somewhere that isn't a heavy traffic area of the house, get some big comfy pillows, a nice quilt or blanket, a place to put a tray for a cold drink, hot chocolate, and a snack.

In your room or outside on the porch maybe. Get some comfy pillows and read and write away.

If you have a nook in the house some where, you could set up a day beb or chase lounge with a small end table and lamp.

My son hung a hammock way up in the tree. Most people can't even see him until he talks to them.
