i like to slow grill some polish sausages. i get spicy ones i found at the market. turning frequently so it doesn't blister on low coals. i cook slow so that it cooks well all the way through. i hate when they char on the outside and seem raw in the middle. then right before it finishes grilling, i place the bun on the grill with it open so the inside part is face down, and i let it toast. once toasted inside and out, i place the polish sausage in the bun. then i go to where i have my condiments. i like mayo, mustard, tomato wedges, chopped red onion, jalapenos/green peppers or salsa, avocado, maybe a slice of cheese underneath the sausage.
but if i'm going straight old school, i use the polish sausage with mustard, white onion, and sauerkraut!
i know that many may disqualify a polish sausage from being a hot dog, but if i had to choose, it would be a polish sausage.

It would be a perfectly boiled hotdog, put on a toasty warm bun with ketchup on top, with a side of Johnny's french fries, and a large Coke =]

i would have a bun with a 100 percent beef hotdog in its. to the left, i would put mustard. to the right side, relish and diced onions. and then on t he top, i would put ketcup to top it all up. i wuill enjoy a rasberry ness tea and some french fries or nachos with chhese and jalapeno. or, you could have a chilicheese dog

Bacon wrapped hot dogs with lots of ketchup. They sell them out of the carts here in my neighborhood. So delicious. I like chips for a side item.

I like Nathan's all beef hot dogs. I put mustard, pickle slice, tomato, onion, sour kraut, chili and cheese. The works! Yummmy!.
My favorite sides would be potato salad and baked beans.

the hot dog is sauted in butter till the skin splits. Then relish,onion,mustard,crushed potato chips.
Or on another nacho cheese and salsa.

ok....first off.....20 years ago they were all additives...but now you can buy all beef or all chicken or all pork hot dogs...Nathans and Hebrew National are the best and the Chicago dog is my personal favorite.....grilled onions..diced tomatoes....pepperoncinis(banana peppers) relish...ketchup...mustard...celery salt...mmmm...mmmm
