Hi
I am a medical esthetician and I was also a plastic surgery assistant for 13 years...
Myexperience with abdominopplasty pts has been the following:
plan on 2-3 weeks,,, realistically 2 to go back to work
nausea depends on how you handle anesthesia( I am assuming it will be general tracheal since this is done on a majoirty of tummy tuck pts.) you will probably be given vicodin for pain so make SURE ou eatbefore you take the meds because it can make you feel sick if you dont
even if you dont take pain meds sometimes you can get nauseated so keep plenty of water botles by bed handy
you wil have drains by the mons region( upper pubic area ) which when low in cc fluid amount come out after several days. Make sure to not do alot of exertion after drains come out as fluid(seromas) can build up in the cavitiy and then youhave to go and getthis aspirated atthe docs office so forgetexercising or any heavylifting for the firstseveral weeks.
you ( im sure have been told) will have an incisional scar so be prepared as this takes TIME to look much better
you will need a pillow to hunch over and walk around with for the firstweek as to not open up the incisional area
I ahev never met a person who regretted a tummy tuck it is jusgetting over the hump of healing the first 2 weeks to 3weeks,.... but youre going to LOVE your newFLAT FLAT Stomach!!! TAKE CARE!

My mother had something similar like that done, only not quite. She had breast cancer, and they needed to do a lot of stuff with her stomach. Basically, she had a tummy tuck and then some other stuff up top. She was in a LOT of pain, and couldn't do much for herself for a while. She had her surgery in august, and she just went back to work a week ago, but she has a job that involves a lot of moving. If I were you, I wouldn't do it, but then again, who am I to say. It's your body, your choice, your money, go for it!! Good luck!

Tummy tuck surgery is very safe nowadays. My cousin got her breast reduction, tummy tuck and facelift surgery in India by the company called Tour2india4health Consultants .The Price for the surgery she paid in India was very less. She paid 30% of the cost she was quoted in America.
Tour2india4health Consultants is very famous in India. They arrange cosmetic and plastic surgery for foreigners in India. I read a lot about them in the Newspapers and about their patient stories. They arrange financing for USA, Canadian, UK and other international patients who plan to have surgery abroad for low price, as the breast reduction, tummy tuck, facelift and other cosmetic surgery is not covered by insurance. They also have photos pasted of their International patients. You can checkout their website. There are huge cost savings. As a doctor I personally believe that surgery can be easily handled in India, as the quality of healthcare available In India is simply best in the world. The surgeons are USA/UK trained and facilities are 5 star.

Hope this helps.
