1st John 4:4!
(Original King James Version)
"Ye are of God, little children, and have overcome them; because greater is he that is in you, than he that is in the world."
*** It is most helpful at trials & family troubles, any temptation (tribulation). I was 12 when my dad "Entered Eternity". I have had it memorized for 30+ years. & when back in elementary school, some classmates would threaten to fight me, but I just quietly walked away from the threats.

Psalms 37th chapter...It says....Don't worry about the wicked. Don't envy those who do wrong for like grass they soon fade away. Like spring time flowers they soon wither.
Trust in the Lord and do good. Then you will live safely in the land and prosper...Take delight in the Lord and he will give you the desires of your heart....Commit everything you do to the Lord. Trust him and he will help you. He will make your innocence as clear as the dawn and the justice of your cause will shine like the noonday sun....and more..
..I'm going to skim over the rest...so you read it.
Be still in the presence of the Lord, and wait patiently for him to act.....Don't worry about evil people who prosper or fret about their wicked schemes. Stop your anger Turn from your rage. Do not envy others it only leads to harm...for the wicked will be destroyed but those who trust in the Lord will posses the land.
In a little while the wicked will disappear. Though you look for them, they will be gone
The wicked plot against the godly they snarl at them in defiance. BUT THE LORD LAUGHS.for he sees their day of judgment is coming.
READ THE WHOLE CHAPTER....IT IS VERY GOOD.

I have several. Three are below:
One is John 14:1(KJV) Let not your heart be troubled: ye believe in God, believe also in me.
These two I always read them together, as if they were one verse, because that is the way my pastor always ended the morning service:
John 14:27 (KJV) Peace I leave with you, my peace I give unto you: not as the world giveth, give I unto you. Let not your heart be troubled, neither let it be afraid.
John 16:33 (KJV) These things I have spoken unto you, that in me ye might have peace. In the world ye shall have tribulation: but be of good cheer; I have overcome the world.
God bless you.

Today it is: So then it does not depend on the man who wills or the man who runs, but on God who has mercy.
Romans 9:16
But very often it is: The Lord is near to the brokenhearted and saves those who are crushed in spirit.
Psalm 34:18
or
He is before all things and in Him all things hold together.
Colossians 1:17
Or:
If my people, which are called by my name, shall humble themselves, and pray, and seek my face, and turn from their wicked ways; then will I hear from heaven, and will forgive their sin, and will heal their land.
II Chronicles 7:14
Wait, sorry, ONE more! Then I'll quit I promise!
26 For consider your calling, brothers: not many of you were wise according to worldly standards, not many were powerful, not many were of noble birth. 27 But God chose what is foolish in the world to shame the wise; God chose what is weak in the world to shame the strong; 28 God chose what is low and despised in the world, even things that are not, to bring to nothing things that are, 29 so that no human being might boast in the presence of God. 30 And because of him you are in Christ Jesus, who became to us wisdom from God, righteousness and sanctification and redemption, 31 so that, as it is written, “Let the one who boasts, boast in the Lord.”

Deuteronomy 22:23-24
If within the city a man comes upon a maiden who is betrothed, and has relations with her, you shall bring them both out of the gate of the city and there stone them to death: the girl because she did not cry out for help though she was in the city, and the man because he violated his neighbors wife.
I guess she should have cried out for help? That way she would have been married to her rapist instead of stoned to death.

For me its Ephesian 2:8-9 saying "For by grace, ye are saved through faith and not of yourselves. Not of your works, lest any man should boast." It says, salvation is the root of all good things because people often regard good works as a way for them to be saved. They say that they will be saved if they do good works without their faith........ (well...just an opinion)
