Why not something more sensible? If he was serious about healing people, why didnt he teach them how to make penicillin? It would have saved MILLIONS of lives.
He didnt teach them because he didnt know how. He was just a man.

A wicked and evil generation seeks after signs. How could he produce the signs you require and be true to his own word?
Edit:
A man blind from birth asked Jesus for his sight. The Creator of all things picked up some dust from the ground, spit upon it in his hand, and formed it into new eyes for the man to see.
Upon learning that Lazarus was dead, Jesus traveled to the tomb and spoke with those who loved him. He wept over the lack of their faith. He spoke, "Lazarus, come forth." And Lazarus returned to life. It would never occur to you or any others who disbelieve that if he had not called Lazarus by name, every tomb across the face of the earth would have opened.
Jesus was crucified, as witnessed by the Roman Legion, The Jewish Temple, his chosen followers and their families, those he had healed, and those who had heard his words. He was raised from the dead, as witnessed by these same.
There is not enough miraculous work to prove to the ones who refuse to believe. The wickedness of many generations has righteously passed into waiting for judgement.

How about healing the sick and raising Lazareth from the dead. They were lasting miracles. Just not 2000 years like you want. His words were left to the apostles that is all that was needed.
water into wine and raising the dead could not have been staged easily that is just your opinion. The technology of magicians today was not available back then.

"given the fact that jesus did not leave any writings"
When a question regarding the ten commandments came up, Jesus wrote only one thing as well, and He too wrote on earthen material. What is this saying? "Don't talk to me about the Law, I wrote it!"
So why didn't Jesus write anything Himself? Because we would put it in a shrine and worship it, we would never copy it, we would never translate it, we would never benefit from it.
The entire of Christ's mission deals with a spiritual legal system. Jesus said,
"If I bear witness to myself, my testimony is not true" (John 5:3 1)
"Even if I do bear witness to myself, my testimony is true" (John 8:14)
A testimony is a writ of witness. You cannot be your own witness. But even if Jesus COULD be His own witness, His witness would be truth incarnate. So the Father Himself was the witness.
OK, so we have the witnesses give their writ of testimony. You have read the testimony, and choose not to believe it. Not content with that, you are here on Yahoo mocking it. So your offense is worse that not accepting it. So consider the consequences well before you proceed further. The spiritual legal system is building its case against you.

In terms of lasting effects, you have to consider the raising of Lazarus. Lazarus was dead four days, already wrapped in grave clothes, and lying inside his tomb near Bethany when Jesus raised him. Now these grave cloths were nontrivial. They soak them in a compound that hardens, so Lazarus, even if he were just deadly sick when buried, would be unlikely to survive once sealed up in his "death suit." Now all this you might say is merely interesting, but confined to the pages of the Bible and unable to pass your test of a continuing memorial to the miracle. However, the resurrection of Lazarus is unique in that after the destruction of Jerusalem, when Titus rebuilt Bethany, the town was being called Al Lazaria, the “hometown of Lazarus,” named after it’s most famous citizen and his most remarkable comeback.
Now, I agree this isn’t the same as a moved mountain, as you suggest, but in a way its better than that. Say there was a mountain, and many people claimed a miracle worker had moved it, 2000 years ago. Do you think there would be skeptics today? Sure there would. Based on what? The sheer impossibility of the deed. Books would be written, lectures given, on how natural causes actually moved the mountain. Some would say there was no miracle worker, that he was invented to explain the cultural myth surrounding the mountain. Others would say he was there, but just an ordinary man who took advantage of unusual circumstances to make a name for himself, and the story got out of hand. On and on it would go, explaining away the obvious, because no one sees that sort of thing now, therefore it couldn’t have happened then.
But people who are eyewitnesses to remarkable events leave better evidence than moved mountains. They tell the story, they write it down, all their friends see the writing and agree it’s true, and their enemies see the writings and fail to produce falsifying evidence in the lifetime of the witnesses. The whole spinning web of details crystallizes into a three-dimensional network of fact, hardened by the heat of bitter opposition, than can stand the test of evidentiary inspection. We cal this body of testimony the Gospel. It is what Christians preach, and it has moved things greater than mountains. Nothing is harder to move than the souls of sinful men and women. But God is doing this every day. He has left the unbelievers clues and hints, but the best evidence may only be viewed when the eyes of faith are open. Just ask Lazarus.
Edit:
Sure, and of course I would be “disappointed” if you had responded any other way. The problem with your approach is that virtually any physical event could be written off as natural and any human event as being "staged," with no consideration of the details to see if your theory holds up under scrutiny. Nice. In terms of epistemology, you make yourself out to be the sole judge of truth, a position generally reserved for deity. However, for the rest of us, the question is not "can things be staged," but were they in fact staged. Reality is stubbornly … real. It always provides some examinable evidence. For example, if the multiple resurrections of Christ’s ministry, including His own, were staged, why was each and every person most closely associated with him willing to be put to death rather than cease proclaiming the truthfulness of these events? It is inexplicable behavior, and in a court of law would be considered valid circumstantial evidence that whether or not the miraculous events occurred, those closest to them firmly believed them to be true.

Never heard of anyone other than Jesus who can walk on water, calm the storms, change water into wine, etc.
John 21
24This is the disciple who testifies to these things and who wrote them down. We know that his testimony is true.
25Jesus did many other things as well. If every one of them were written down, I suppose that even the whole world would not have room for the books that would be written.

Even if Jesus Moved a mountain, moved your house from New york to Pakistan, moved the world closer to Jupiter, you still won't believe.
I find it foolish that you would come here and discuss something you don't believe in; don't you have anything else to do? Do you have a wife and kids to play with...or do you play sports...or something?
You are a very sick fellow and those who back you up` are crazy dumb folks.

Does raising Lazarus from death to life qualify? Get you facts straight BEFORE you post, you made youself look foolish? If Christ had left pictures, writings etc. The Catholics would be worshipping them instead of Him. Look what happens when they think the Virgin Mary appears in a piss stain in some alley.

Jesus did many miracles. I got an idea, you make a miracle happen then. And then when you've moved hundreds of profits to write books on your behalf, and helped millions in their lives, I may possibly find some snot-nosed kid to question you.

Are miracles the true litmus test of HIS existence? The Pharisees wanted to see the same thing that you want to see, a miracle.
