In other words did God put us here for a reason? If God is in control of everthing and he created everything then how can our existence possibly have (meaning/reason) in relation to God? Saying that God put us here for a reason is to infer that our existence has meaning in relation to God.

A reason/meaning serves a purpose. The reason humans drink water is to sustain life etc. To say that something has a reason or a meaning is to infer that it is dependent on something else. How is it that an all powerful God is in someway in need of human existence? Granted some reasons are purely subjective. People have desires, but to have a want or a need is to lack something. God is perfection in lack of and in need of nothing.

This question does not pretend to know the infinite mind of God. That`s irrelavant! I`m not asking why he put us here, rather how is it that our existence serves a purpose to an already perfect being?

Things are backward right now because we were created by God, but do not currently belong to Him. With free will, you can make Him ownership of your life and everything will change accordingly. But not without your OK.

Fellowship was lost due to sin. The sin issue could not be dealt with by good works, traditions, or rituals. The wages of sin is death. A loophole was created by God that a substitute death could be used, hence the Levitical system of sacrifice, a picture of what was to come. God came down in the form of man, to live, and die in our place to re-establish our lost fellowship. This event tore the veil in the Temple to announce that the wall of separation between man and God was over. All we need do is come to Christ for the cleansing of sins and obtain the once-lost fellowship.

God does not need us but he wants us because he created and loves us. Our reason to exist is to be loved by God, but because there is so much sin in the world we have created a barrier between us and God. That is why he sent Jesus, to take our sins upon himself so that we will not have anything standing between us and God.

God is love like the first person who answered said. There is nothing greater to know than love says the Bible and that is true. To learn about God and who He is and how to try to become closer to Him is our mission if we want to be true Christians.

Those who want to be children of the devil (Jesus's words) then their mission is to aggravate everyone around them and to wait until God destroys them.

If the sun was without rays of light, who would see it and would it be unexpressed? Man is God's image forever. We are waking from the dream of what isn't to what is.
