I read that smell directly affects smell. if that's true then how do you explain....?

tunafish.

I love tuna on sushi but i hate tunafish, all kinds. chunk light chunk white, in oil, in water, doesn't matter i still can't stand it. but raw tuna...great.

milk, have you ever smelled milk? even if fresh. It smells bad no matter how fresh it is, take a good whiff and tell me if you can see if it's bad.

I had more but I lost my train of thought.

but i do think sense of smell is most strongly tied to memory. I forget faces, forget touches, rarely but i do, forget sounds, and taste. but when a certain scent hits me...i can go nuts.

Canned tuna is cooked. Sushi tuna is not cooked. So they are different.
