No I'm not keen on mine either, mines Diane, but I get called Di by everyone who knows me so that's not too bad.

I do like my forename...but I hate that so many people call me 'Bob'. In fact...I detest it.
I have a pen name where I use my real first name and the name of a former girlfriend for a surname.
So if you ever see a book by Robert Mlait...be sure to buy it!

I like both my "given names" - believe it or not, they are Veronica Alicia. Unfortunately, as a Bristolian I had to suffer having an 'L' put on the end of each - Vronicul Aleesul is a bit hard to take, so I'm usually known as "Roni".
My second name is particularly special because I am named after several generations - my Mother was Alice, her mother was Eliza Lavinia, her mother just Eliza, her mother & grandmother bother Elizabeth, and it goes back several more to another Alicia. My grandson is Alex.

Yes - it's brilliant because I have never actually met someone with the same first name - although I have seen a one or two on TV/film and on facebook etc. ( and no its not Rumplestiltskin)
