I would say the Dalai Lama because he is a manifestation of the Buddha of compassion whereas the Pope is a person chosen to represent Jesus Christ. There is a biog difference between being a divine manifestation and being a representative of the divine. On a Note: To Catholics I mean absolutely no slight to the popes in saying what I said. It is simply my opinion and I respect the two equaly.

Isaiah the prophet said "all your acts of righteousness are as filthy rags" If the Dalai Llamma is relying on his efforts instead of God's mercy he merely has a human appearance of holiness. A Pope is only holy if he is truly glorifying God leaning on the work of Jesus on the cross, believing for eternal life. Some popes perhaps did and some perhaps did not.

Dalai Lama without a doubt. There's not even a single.. shred of doubt in my mind that the Dalai Lama is a better man in morals and integrity than any of the Popes which have come to pass.
