Would you consider this person insecure, a braggart or just insensitive to others?

What are your thoughts?

Great answers!!! I agree with all of you. This person constantly talks about what they have, how much they spent here, how much they spent there, etc. It is quite sickening, especially since I'm grateful just to be able to pay my rent and feed my kids.

Thanks again.

I would say yes to all three. On top of that, the person is a bore.

This is called Boorishness. Yes, there is a term for it. Unfortunately, there is often nothing you can do about it except make sure your on the other side of the room when they are talking.

I don't think it's necessarily bragging, insecurity is more obvious a choice. This person is trying to convince you and themselves that they are worthy of your attention. Take it as a compliment and try to change the subject.

It would depend on the context in which the word "money" is used in their sentence. Either way, this person seems to be too focused on money that their whole world revolves around it.

Perhaps this person loves money and just want to talk about it all day long. If this person is so good about money, I'd ask this person for advice and see what they can offer :)

I would think that they want to get robbed! FOR REALS!! and also all of the above that you mentioned...cool people who have money don't need to talk about it. it gets annoying! like they must have never had money or been around it so they need to talk about it all the time. it's kinda sad!

Attention seeking, the money they have has not bought them happiness, they are trying to make out that they are better than you, they lack self esteem,

Insecure; probably in debt to the limits.

They are insecure in themselves like most people who feel the need to bignote themselves

I think they are braggarts. You need to be blunt wtih them. Tell them "I'm not interested in what you have or do".

I don't give them a second thought and just blow cigar smoke in their face then stroll away.
