Yes.
When you enlist in the Army, you go where you are sent, regardless of your preferences.

If you sign up for a 2 year contract you will be able to just go there once. The program is new to the army for a 2 year contract basically you go to basic then to you specialized training for you job. Then you will go to Iraq after, that you are done with the military. You will have a inactive reserve for another year but you would be far down on the list and we most likely would not be needed so much people over there in 2 years. I think the bonus if you sign for 2 years 20,000 if you choose a needed job in the military i.e. Military police, infantry etc...

The "needs of the service" always come first during your enlistment.
I've deployed twice, volunteered both times. Afghanistan 2003-04. Afghanistan again 2006-07. There's a deployment coming up in my state for Iraq, Summer '08 and I'm probably not going to even be asked to volunteer. We call it "voluntold." No matter. Unless I get hurt, or have a hardship situation come up (neither is likely), I have in demand skills and I'm MOS qualified.
On the other hand, it's nice to be wanted and needed.
Cat: No shortage of people--haven't missed a recruiting goal since 2005.
MP: I'm a National Guardsman and I'm not particularly unique. Most of us with some time in have at least two deployments so far.

You dont even need time left on your contract its called stop loss if your unit needs you you will be going again and again plus up to 8 yrs after your initial enlistment the army can call you back to service its called inactive reserve. So if you sign up for 3 yrs and then get out the army can call you back anytime in the next 5 yrs.

It will be completly based off of how long you enlist. If you enlist for 2 years, your chances of going back are very slim. If you enlist for 4-6 years, there is a good chance you will do at least a 2nd tour.
The Army is trying to do away with 'stop loss'. Stop loss is what the military is allowed to do (Only performed in the Army at this time to my knowledge) in cases of emergency. If your unit is prepping to deploy a second time and you only have 4 monthes on your contract, you are more then likely to be deploying again. I've seen it happen to plenty of people.
Though, depending what what job you get in the military will play a large role on your deployment cycle and to where you deploy. Your first deployment might be in Iraq and your second could be Kuwait. Heck, you might not even deploy at all. Anything is possible.

If you still have time on your contract, yes they (we) can, and we will.
If your enlistment is for 4 years there is a good chance you will do 2 tours.
If you only want to do 1 tour I recommend Joining the National Guard or Reserve. once you finish your basic training and AIT you can ask to be transfered to a unit that is about to deploy (or you can enlist into a unit that is to deploy soon) Because reserve units deploy less often you are much more likely to avoid another deployment.

Yes. Once you join the army, you belong to them.
On a different note, good for you! as soon as I turn 18 I will be in Iraq (if the war is still going on by then).

Yes, the military has a shortage right now, not too many people are signing up.
So, they keep on rotating people in and out of Iraq.
You might go in for a year and come back for a number of months and rotate back into Iraq again.

Yes they can. Soldiers go where they are told to go, and do what they are told to do.
