Practice. Only other point I can add is that you won't want to swing any "harder" on your long irons. Try to focus on being smooth and getting good contact.

1) Slow down. The 4 & 5 are longer than the 6 & 7 (normally length increases by 1/2 inch per club), so the club head will take just a moment longer to get to the ball. You may not notice the difference in short irons, but it's more evident into your longer irons.

2) If you don't do this already, try positioning the ball in the center of your stance for all of your irons. Then your only adjustment from iron to iron is your distance away from the ball.

3) Don't change your approach from your short to your longer clubs. If you are aggressive then stay that way, if you're controlled stay that way too. Being tentative will kill any golf shot, so commit to your shot.

Good luck.

Practice and use a different angle, the 4 iron has a slighty different angle than the 5 iron, same with 6 and 7 irons. This may take practice, also note that all clubs are the same length, so you may have to change your stance, distance from the ball just a little. Hope this helps.

Try chocking up a bit. Say one inch or two and give yourself better control. This will shorten the iron .You will still have the same loft of the iron and your distance will be a little shorter. After a while you can go to the full length, when you feel you have control.Best of luck. Also a slow back swing helps a lot.Keep your head down...lol

Same problem I had just a week ago!!!

I was having problems with Driver thru 6 iron.

I changed my grip - went with a slightly stronger grip (3 knucles showing on top hand- left if you're right handed) and viola... problem solved. Felt better too as I came through the ball.

My grip is neutral from 7iron through wedge.

Try it.

Tim, you ask this question repeatedly. Why don't you go to a professional PGA instructor and just get it fixed?
Obviously we can't help you.
