Yes you can, but they may require a waiver because you were a DEP discharge. Just prove to them that you are committed and you and you shouldn't have a problem. Good luck

You can just ask a recruiter and do not mention you lied to get out of it last time. Tell him you had signed up but a situation arouse and you had to get if fixed before you could go, then you got busy with other things and now your life is back in order and want to join again. Also do not go back to the same recruiter go to a new one and do not let the old one see you they remember people they have almost go and then do not go when it is almost time.

You should still be able to join but I caution you to do so with wisdom this time. Being in the military is a life-consuming committment. If at anytime the road gets hard you cant just walk away and request a do over later on. Once you are in you are there for the full length of your contract.

once they find out you lied, it will be a very uphill battle to get them to give you a second chance.

BTW.. had you shipped in 2005, you would have been able to get out of the abusive relationship a lot easier....

WHY?

What is your motivation for doing so TODAY?

Can you be trusted?

That's what it comes down to being a member of ANY of the Armed Services...
