Your income from tomorrow to December 31 will be on the return due in April of 2008. The following tax season is for income from January 1st and later.

Anything you are paid in 2007 goes on the return you file in April 2008. If you haven't had other income this year, you might be below the limit where you have to file at all for 2007.

You will have to do taxes in April. Any work done before Dec 31 will count.

Taxes are done by the calendar year. You will receive a W-2 from your new employer in January that covers your 2007 earnings.

Congratulations on joining the ranks of us wage slaves. You will have to do the tax forms. Probably you won't owe any taxes. Taxes are supposed to be paid for the year you get the money.
