Why is there suffering in the world?

We are told in R.S that God is all good and all powerful

(Not just in Christianity in most mainstream Religions)

But then why does he allow suffering?

If he allows suffering that he could stop surely it means he is not all good!

Or if he can't stop the suffering then that would mean he is not all powerful!

Do you agree or disagree?

There is suffering as a result of man's sin

we have free choice - if we did not -
we would just be puppets

remember the story of the flood - God killed all
but Noah's family and their wives - and the animals on board the ark

that's pretty powerful to me

Don't blame God for the suffering in the world. God gave us a free choice and Adam and Eve went against God's warning thus sin and death entered the world. We are all from Adam's race therefor we are all guilty of sin. We can once again have union with God by accepting His gift to us His Son. But most in their arrogant way say no way I'll do things my way. Those that reject God's gift will suffer eternally in hell. He is the creator like it or not He calls the shots. All the pain and suffering in the world is a result of the original sin. Do you want God to intervene in all situations? then where is your free will? if God were to step in every time something bad happened then His original warning to Adam and Eve would have had no value. If He constantly intervened man would still be guilty of sin and would still need a savior. You can't have it both ways, you want free choice or not? God did not want us as robots.

Read the Old Testament. The "God" of the old Testament is a bloodthirsty, vindictive god demanding blood sacrifice and slave-like submission, recommending conquest (ie death of thousands of humans) of enemies,

New Testament just as bad
See Spanish and European Inquisitions We will save you by killing you.Witch- hunts and death " to save their souls - most people illiterate at time. Threatening innocent children with hell-fire and damnation. Children are not sinful and it is pure arrogance and cruel to suggest they are. Mankind is good and great and bad and selfish but not from something which mythically happened in Iraq Millennia ago

(Yes, the so called "garden of Eden was in Mesopotamia between Tigris and Euphrates = IRAQ) Millennia ago

Powerful but such a god is man- made

Of course God is all Good ? and since you thing you are wise enough to judge God. let me ask you this ? What is "Good" to you ? is going to club and get drunk and still drive home safely ? or what's written in God's plan for humanity and each individual ? whatever happen, was there to happen , and yes God has the power to stop all the sufferings and he does stop the suffering of a lot of people ! But stop the suffering and of everybody would be against his plan ! because we have to die for our sins, and after that, at the write moment he would come and judge us and then he will fix the world ! but he he wont do that until the last lamb has come to him !

suffering is from sin, sin is from satan, God will end suffering, but God loves us so much, God is giving us the oppourtunity to receive the gift of Eternal life, we can only to that by rebuking satan, and sin, and coming to Jesus who went to the cross as a sacrifice for our sins, thier will be no more suffering in The Holy KIngdom, If God ended the suffering right now, so many would go automatically to hell, because they haven't received Christ, are you wanting that, or do you think people should have more of an oppourtunity and a chance to come to the Lord for forgiveness, just think, while you are asking these questions, and God gave you what you wanted right now, Where would you Go? Would you want God to do it right Now? Think deep about this, are thier others that need to know around you, true sufffering will be eternal in Hell, this is not hell, there is a Holy Kingdom where Jesus Christ has prepared us a place to lay, and there is a destiny far to worse than any suffering we could even imagine will be.

Because free will is good. Gos gave us the ability to have free will, thus all that is bad in this earth is b/c we humans have chosen. Ok, why do people get murdered...humans decided, why do family die in car accidents, people not paying attention or worse...drunk driving. Why do people starve...because people would much rather buy a new camera or car then to give $30 a month to a needy family. So its not that God is not good, its that humans are not good.

The world we live in today is full of sin and God doesn't want any sin but its all us, we are responsible. Ever since the fall of man we have taken the earth and destroyed it. The truth is we deserve so much worse than this but God has been protecting and saving us. And when He returns He will end the suffering! BECAUSE HE LOVES US!!!!!!

Mmmm...God is good, yes. That is one of his qualities. He has many other qualities as well. And the reason he allows suffering is because he wants us humans to have a choice to believe in him or not. If he just made everything perfect, it would be nice, but it wouldn't be right.

ah ignorance is bliss.god isnt good.. he's great. if there was no suffereing there would be no compassion in this world. plus, god will not just intervene with our life, we have the freedom of choice. which is one of the greatest gifts ever.it does hurt him to see us suffer but he knows that we sre strong, and that he does not give us any challenge that we cannot overcome.
